The Solara lariat's mirrored disc, recast as an earring. Each earring stacks three drops on oval gold links: a circular cabochon of dyed blue quartz at the top, the collection's mirror-polished gold disc at the center, and a yellow dyed-quartz teardrop swinging below.
At four and a half inches they are unapologetically long — blue and yellow stones framing the gold disc like sky and sun around a mirror — and the whole column moves as you do.
Artist's Notes
The earrings came second, and they're what turned the lariat into a collection. They carry the same mirrored disc, but I wanted color around it — the blue quartz above, the yellow drop below — so the pair reads as its own piece, not an accessory to the necklace. Wear them with the lariat for the full set; they hold their own alone.
