Elke oorbel is opgebouwd rond de Small Zeppelin-kraal, van 2.5cm bij 8mm: substantieel genoeg om te lezen als een echte statement-steker, maar toch uitgehold zodat hij op het oor drijft in plaats van het naar beneden te trekken. De geborstelde textuur verspreidt licht zacht over het oppervlak in plaats van het terug te flitsen.
Zwaar verguld in stralend 18K verguld voor een blijvende hoogglans afwerking, zijn de Zeppelins afgewerkt met stekers voor gaatjes. De combinatie van holle constructie en handgeborstelde textuur is de hele truc — aanwezigheid zonder gewicht, glans zonder schittering.
"De Zeppelin is een technisch stuk vermomd als een eenvoudige steker. Ik heb de kraal hol gemaakt omdat een massieve kraal van 2.5cm ondraagbaar zou zijn — zo krijgt u de volledige visuele schaal met een fractie van het gewicht. De borsteltextuur was een bewuste keuze boven spiegelpolijsting: geborsteld goud vangt licht zoals geborstelde zijde het vangt, zacht en directioneel. En stekers, geen haken — een steker zo sculpturaal moet precies zitten waar u hem plaatst."
