Eén enkele extra grote steen in het bleekste celadon — vrij gevormd geslepen met brede, rustige facetten en omvat door een zacht gesoldeerde zilveren rand, hangend aan een strakke zilveren halsdraad. Bij daglicht oogt hij zacht en melkachtig, bijna stil. Dan gaan de lichten omlaag: de steen heeft de hele dag licht opgenomen en geeft het terug — een gelijkmatige mintgroene gloed in het donker.
Opmerking van de kunstenaar
Ik vond deze steen op de vloer van een edelstenenbeurs, onder licht dat fel genoeg was om zijn geheim te verbergen — de gloed openbaarde zich pas later, in een donker atelier. Laad hem overdag op (zonlicht werkt het snelst) en draag hem na het donker. Eén exemplaar: als hij weg is, is hij weg.
