A single oversized stone in the palest celadon — freeform-cut with broad, slow facets and wrapped in a soft-soldered silver edge, hung from a clean silver neck wire. In daylight it reads soft and milky, almost quiet. Then the lights go down: the stone has been drinking in light all day, and it gives it back — a steady mint-green glow in the dark.
Artist's Note
I found this stone on the floor of a gem show, under lights bright enough to hide its secret — the glow only revealed itself later, in a dark studio. Charge it by day (sunlight works fastest) and wear it after dark. One of one: when it’s gone, it’s gone.
