Reintroduced 12 years after its original creation, this sculptural vest is a labor of intricate hand-craftsmanship, weaving together a tapestry of history, texture, and nomadic energy. Composed of vintage Tibetan coins, the harness features a complex network of chains embellished with woven silver-toned resin beads, creating a rhythmic, geometric silhouette that rests powerfully on the body.
Hand-assembled in our West Hollywood studio using recycled materials, each element of the harness tells a story. The natural discoloration and varied tones of the reclaimed metal give the piece a distressed, armor-like quality that is entirely unique. Weighing approximately 1.5 lbs (650 grams), it carries a substantial presence that transitions effortlessly from avant-garde evening wear to high-fashion editorial styling.
Artist’s Note: "The Norbu was one of the most time-intensive pieces I’ve ever created. I wanted to design something that felt like a protective talisman—a modern interpretation of ceremonial armor. By using vintage Tibetan coins and recycled silver chains, I was able to achieve a patina that looks like it’s been weathered by time. Bringing it out of the archive now feels like the perfect moment to celebrate the artisanal, labor-heavy roots of the brand."
