A durable woven brown cotton cord forms the backbone of this 48-inch lanyard, with strands of antique gold glass seed beads weaving through its entire length. Vintage rescued chains and charms in antique brass and copper tones — hematite and gunmetal pave beads among them — dangle in a random pattern, no two sections alike. Each end is finished with a brown silky tassel crowned with a pave crystal cap.
It is as versatile as it is striking: wear it crossbody as a phone lanyard, tie it once or twice around the neck, open it and wear it long as a necklace, or wrap it as a belt. Raw brass rings and a clicker clasp connect to the included universal phone tab attachment, so it fits virtually any phone.

Artist's Notes
I made Sahara for myself. I needed something I hadn't seen out there — a phone lanyard that wasn't neon plastic or rubber, but a real piece of jewelry. Jewelry for the body is my field, so why not make something beautiful that is also practical?
I built it in brown, a neutral that works with several outfits, and gave it a sophisticated look: vintage rescued chains and charms, hematite and pave beads, tassels with crystal caps. When I go out, people ask where I got it — which is exactly why it is here now.
I wear it; it can be unisex too, if you're not scared of a little sparkle. Sometimes you just don't want a bulky phone in your pocket. This works great.
