The Art of Rosary Repair

A Complimentary Service by JAREDJAMIN

Rosary repaired by JAREDJAMIN

There is something quietly sacred about a rosary that has been carried through years of devotion — its beads worn smooth by prayer, its chain softened by time. At JAREDJAMIN, we understand that when such a piece breaks, it is more than a jewelry repair. It is the restoration of something deeply personal.

Our complimentary rosary repair service is offered with care and intention. Before we can welcome your rosary into our hands, we ask that you begin with photographs. Clear, detailed images of the damage allow us to assess the piece thoughtfully and determine whether an in-person visit is the right next step. Not every repair can be evaluated at a glance — and some rosaries, once received, will need to remain with us for a period of time as we work to restore them properly.

Our primary expertise lies in reassembly. Unhooked links, broken chains, scattered beads — these are the repairs we perform most often, and with great attention to the original stringing and sequence. We do not, as a general practice, replace or match individual beads. Each rosary carries its own bead character, and sourcing an exact match is rarely possible.

On rare and considered occasions, we are able to resequence a rosary entirely using newer beads. When this is requested, we ask that the rosary arrive with no less than approximately fifty percent of its original beads intact. The crucifix, too, must accompany the piece. Our inventory of crucifix replacements is intentionally limited — we do not stock a broad selection — and so the original crucifix is not merely preferred, it is essential to the process.

If the crucifix is missing or damaged, please note this clearly in your photo submission. We will advise you on the best path forward before any visit is arranged.

To begin, simply send your photographs to us. We will respond with our assessment and next steps. It would be our honor to help restore what time and wear have undone.
